CalFresh Emergency Allotments are ending because the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 ends the issuance of CalFresh Emergency Allotments to households in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Effective with emergency allotments issued May 2021 for benefit month April 2021 all CalFresh households have received a minimum emergency allotment of $95 per month. Emergency benefits raise each household’s regular monthly CalFresh allotment to the maximum allowable benefits based on their CalFresh household size.
